THE BRIEF
The challenge was to establish Merise as an unmistakably distinctive brand in a saturated market. The identity needed to feel modern and timeless, to complement the international brands Merise partners with while amplifying their essence rather than competing with it. The goal was to move away from the clichés of luxury, the predictable golds and blacks, and develop a visual identity that felt tactile, understated, and deeply personal.

THE CRAFT
The strategy was rooted in subtlety and enduring elegance. We built the identity around a muted spectrum of deep greens, soft pinks, and subtle greys, a restrained and intentional colour palette that stood apart from everything else in the premium segment without announcing itself loudly. The Solare typeface anchored the visual language, its clean lines and balanced proportions striking a precise balance between sophistication and refinement, engineered for versatility across horizontal and vertical formats. Physical collateral became a central part of the brand experience. Visiting cards, letterheads, and branded materials were treated as statements in themselves, incorporating layered textures, precision-cut details, and muted pops of colour that reinforced the brand's identity through touch as much as sight. The digital experience was built with the same intention. Micro-transitions, precise animations, hover states, scroll effects, and intuitive navigation were woven into the website to mirror the brand's ethos at every interaction. Three-dimensional video and line art graphics transformed the site into a visual narrative, capturing the depth, craftsmanship, and dynamism of Merise's offerings in motion.

THE OUTCOME
What Aurra delivered for Merise was a brand that does not need to announce its luxury. Every touchpoint, from the weight of a business card to the behaviour of a scroll animation, was designed to communicate exclusivity through restraint rather than excess. In a city where luxury is everywhere, Merise now occupies a space that is entirely its own.
